How to legalise a car in Portugal ?

Because the info i found on the net i decided to bring you my version 2008
and i will try to explain all the steps...

1/ print out the document 1402 and fill it out you can download it here: http://www.dgv.pt/formularios/formularios.asp
2/ go to a car inspection center and check if they do inspections for a legalisation ! not all inspection centers do so... i tried the one in Oeiras and no such luck... In Alfragide behind the jumbo it worked. The documents you need are Identity card, the european "certificate of conformity" and the registration papers of the car
